​​When a lift goes into M.E.'s Rental Fleet; the first thing that is replaced are the batteries.  Rather then turning those  batteries around for simple core charges, M.E. sells the replaced batteries at a highly discounted price. In most cases the batteries are still in very good shape and have plently of life left.

Granted, without the exact "sell" date labelled onto the battery, getting a proper battery age is impossible. However, M.E. can assure that each battery charges up to the proper voltage and holds that charge for a reasonable amount of time.
